Scavenger Hunt Clue # 6 ~

Sorry this is so late today -- lots of stuff going on at work and in my little town - which I will write more about tomorrow (some good and not so good things)! Tomorrow is my one year anniversary, and it will be the last clue for this hunt! This is a harder question, and you will have to do some digging and reading back over old posts (try putting some keywords in the search bar at the top lefthand corner!).

Question # 6: Where does my son go to college?

Post a comment here after you have found the answer, and tell me what one of your most prized possessions is (family and pets excluded, of course, because that is obvious!). Thanks for playing - I appreciate each one of my visitors, whether you are in the hunt or not!

  1. Found it! One of my most prized possessions.....hmmmm....a clay rose that my daughter made in elementary school. It is a perfect little rose and she was only 5 or 6 when she made it.

  2. Found it. One of my most prized possessions: a journal that my husband and I keep together. We each write in it once a year, on our anniversary, in letter format to each other. I love re-reading the previous years' entries, and it is such a loving keepsake!

  3. I found it! One of my most prized possessions is the fishing pole my dad had custom made for me when I was in middle school after I caught my first (and only, sadly) steelhead. He made it in purple and green, so it had some girl colors, and it has my name on it and everything. Steelhead fishing was a big thing for us growing up, so it always makes me think of him. He got cancer and almost died a couple years ago, so it's even more special to me now. Although, he made such a great pole, that he keeps it at his place so he can take it fishing, since it's better than any other one he owns!

  4. Found it! One of my treasured possessions is box of old jewelry that belonged to my grandmother. It is mostly costume jewelry - she worked as a hostess in a restaurant and always wore necklaces with matching "earbobs" as she called them.

  5. I know the answer!

Hmmm... this is a hard question. I have several things I prize highly. If I exclude family pictures and scrapbooks and my thousands of books... I would say several of my possessions that used to belong to my grandmother. I have an oil painting that she painted and that my grandfather built the frame for. I have her antique easel. I have several pieces of furniture of hers. I have a wonderful poem (and journel) that my dad wrote for me.

My most prized possession...that's a tough one, I think just pictures in general. They say so much about our lives.

  8. Hmmmmmmm, my prized possession is the necklace DH gave me when I got home from the hospital after having DS. I never take it off, and it reminds me of that wonderful day. Thanks!

  9. got #6. As for my most prized possession...it would have to be my coffee pot! LOL Well...IT IS special ya know ;) Seriously I can't think of anything...but I do have a little box of treasures that are from my childhood. Misc trinkets that are mine. In that box is also several letters that I saved from both my grandmothers. You know...back in the day when people used to write with stationary and a pen :) I love reading them -- it's in their own handwriting -- and I can just hear their sweet voices as I read.

  10. Found it! Hmmm, that's a tough one these days. I would have to say all of my photos. Every single one of them. I love looking at them. It's still tough to look at pics of my brother, though. Don't know when that'll change, but I know where they are. Also, right now, I'd have to add the coin that my brother's commander gave me at his service. I carry it in my pocket every day.

  11. I found it. My most prized posession? Eeegads...Pretty much any gift I've ever received from a loved one. I can't bear to part with cards that my kids made me or anything that my parents made for me.

  14. Got it!!! I sure hope things go better in your little town....but hooray for the good things!! Well, I think one of my most prized possessions (also besides photos).....would have to be the hand-hewn log shelves and heart shaped log pieces my friend made me and helped hang up. He was killed shortly afterwards.....so they hold an extremely special place in my heart!!!

  15. Wow, that was a bit hard! :P Same for MY answer! I don't know if I have a prized possession besides the obvious. I'm not very materialistic or sentimental. I guess I'd have to say portraits and videos of my children.

  16. I am a day late. To much celebrating Natl. Scrapbook Day.

I have the Teddy Bear from when I was three month sold. Teddy no longer has the original eyes but button replacements. And Teddy is no longer a furry little critter.
