Awards to Share & Empty Places in My Heart

After being given this award by some blogging friends, I would like to pass them along to some others! Check out these:
Linsey - Outside the Lines
Tammy - Stamp Happy
and
Diane - Planted in Joy

And for those that have been following my little beagle story, we had to put her to sleep on Thursday. :(
Dayna continued to lose weight (lymphoma) and was obviously not feeling well at all. She had lost a total of 25% of her body weight, and for a 13" beagle, that was not a good thing. We will miss her tremendously, but did not want her to suffer needlessly and are glad about the joy she brought to our family for 10 1/2 years!

There is an empty place in my heart right now for her. I know many of you know that same feeling, having experienced the same thing. This is the third dog we have had, and now miss, but I know they are out there together somewhere chasing squirrels!

I hope you will check back tomorrow, as I have some fun things to share!

  7. Its very hard to lose a "member" of the family. We had a Golden and a cat that were raised together "Nick and Nack" they were both 12 and we lost them within 3 months of each other. But I have great memories of them both! You were both lucky to have had each other, I will be thinking about you this week!

  15. I am so sorry about you having to put your baby to sleep, we also have been thru having to make that hard decision. Our Vet. said that most people make the mistake and let them suffer because they don't want to let go, you have made the right choice. My heart goes out to you. Just saw your Ireland slide show, it was beautiful.

  17. Oh Judy, I am just reading this for the first time today. I am so very sorry for your loss. As the parent of a rescued Golden Retriever who passed away from lymphoma 5 years ago (and I STILL feel the pain), my hear just goes out to you. (((Big Hugs))), Michelle
