A Great Product That I Love!

My friends will tell you that I am very fussy about keeping my stamps clean. I want them all to look like I just bought them. So when I get a bit of ink on the wood, or the black ink doesn't want to come off, I am not happy!

I think I have used every stamp cleaner out there known to man (or woman!). I have at least seven different brands in my stamp room. Well, when those are gone, it is ONE cleaner for me! I am sure many of you already use this product, but if you don't, it is a MUST-HAVE!
Ultra Clean™ cleans even the most difficult stamping inks. Ultra Clean™ also keeps your stamp scrubber clean by washing most of the ink out of the scrubber when rinsed with water. It takes off every trace of any kind of black ink -- and I have about all of the black inks there are!

It has a very light scent, and doesn't bother my nose at all! The only drawback, and this doesn't really bother me, is that it is a tad oily. So, I clean my stamps only once a day, and then do not have to worry about getting any residue on my projects. If I need the same stamp for a project, and have to clean up before the end of the day, I just use a non-oily cleaner, such as Stampin' Up's Stampin' Mist, or I make sure my hands are oil-free.

Another great option for cleaning is Simple Green. Simple Green is a multi-purpose cleaner that will clean just about anything in your house. Simple Green is non-toxic, biodegradeable, non-hazardous, non-flammable, and non-corrosive. The correct ratio for simple green as a stamp cleaner is:

1/4 c simple green
1/2 c water (I use distilled)

Put it in a spray bottle and you are ready to go!

Give these products a try. I find Simple Green in the auto section at Wal-Mart, and Ultra Clean™ at many online stores.

And right now - I am on my way to CHA! Tonight I will be meeting many friends I have made through stamping online -- and am excited to share pictures with you soon!

Just one question... Are both products safe for clear stamps too? Or just rubber?
