I Am Always Inspired By Giraffes!

As many of you know, I collect giraffes. I have hundreds of them around the house and in my stamp room. I have many giraffes stamps as well, some of which you can see in this post (scroll down a bit).

So, it probably comes as no surprise that I chose THIS from PB Teen for today's SCS Inspiration Challenge 163. I used Jen's SFYTT for my layout today.

I got this cute giraffe from H & M Stamps at their garage sale last week, and really wanted to use it on something today! Perfect! The giraffe has Diamond Stickles on his body. I used my Sizzix Architectural Corner Die for a trellis for my leaves. I added a matching Sizzix corner on the inside of the card. I got this Basic Grey Urban Prairie paper in a blog candy win from my friend, Deb. I am finally glad to use that too!
Here is a close-up of my little trellis and the cute sentiment: "Valentine, I'd stretch my neck up for a smooch from you!"

On another note, I have had a wonderful past few days connecting with former students. One of my most favorite teaching times was 1984-1990, when I taught Choir and Drama in Utah at Kaysville Junior High School. Those kids were just such a really special bunch and I have thought of them often over the years. I have even kept in touch with two of them at Christmastime. But Facebook has changed all that this week, and I got to reconnect with many more of them - twenty years later! It has been fun to see them with their own families and to hear what they are doing.

I hope you are having a good weekend with your friends and families! Reconnect with someone this week!
