A Little Sparkle and a Little Pop

Well, I am a little overwhelmed with this busy week! I know you all have weeks like that, where you seem to never make a dent in the pile of "to-do" or laundry, or in your responsibilities. It happens, doesn't it?

As many of you know, I will be leaving for California tomorrow (driving to the three hour away airport) to catch an early flight to LAX for the Craft and Hobby Association convention this week. I will be gone until Wednesday, but I hope to schedule some posts about some really fun things while I am gone, including what is happening at CHA. I will be highlighted some products I LOVE that you must try, and also showing you a fun challenge with the Hambo Design Team on Tuesday.

Today I have a monochromatic card with a pop of color to show you. My stamped sentiment is from He is Risen! by Our Daily Bread designs. I have really liked this set, and know that it will get a lot of use. My background paper is by Best Memories, which is a WalMart brand. I was really pleased with this pack of paper. It has some beautiful designs that are easy to embellish, while not overwhelming the card design. I added Diamond Stickles to my butterfly for a little pop of sparkle. The ribbon is from my hoarded stash of Burgundy Satin, which I wish Stampin' Up! would sell again. The pearls and white flowers are from Stampin' Up!'s Pretties Kit, and the white tulle flowers are from my stash of odds and ends.

I like how this turned out -- the sentiment is still the main focus of the card (layered on Nestabilities), but the burgundy adds a little pizazz!

Thanks for stopping by today! I don't know if I will be able to post a new project before I leave, so if not, have a great weekend!
