The Fairest Blossom

I loved today's SCS Inspiration Challenge! The handbags and purses on today's inspiration site have such awesome patterns and colors. I am a sucker for purses and bags, even though I hardly carry one! I can't ever keep track of them. In fact, I really have no idea where my driver's license and wallet are right now. Better find those today.....

I chose this handbag for my inspiration,
and used the patterns and colors to make my card today.

You can click on the card to see a larger version for a close-up look. I decided to put my two ribbon layers on a little skewed from each other -- my friends will tell you I am so "straight line, centered" about my embellishments that I decided for this week I was going to try to do something not so centered and straight on each card. We will see if that works! :)

My son comes home from college for three weeks tomorrow,
and we are so very excited here! He lives in North Carolina now,
and we don't get to see him very often!
Have a great weekend!

  3. Beautiful, Judy! You did a great job challenging yourself not to be straightlined and centered. I got such a kick out of your "where's my wallet story?" and I'm so happy for you that your son is coming for a visit! Enjoy, my friend!

  6. Hey, Judy! Glad to find another girl who likes the way purses look, but is relatively adverse to actually hauling one around! The ONLY good thing about winter here in upstate NY is that my coat has POCKETS, so my cell phone can ride there safely! If/when I have no choice, I take the smallest bag that will fit the necessities, and still hate it! On another note: thanks for a wonderful idea for the Oh, So Lovely set! I really like it, but have a hard time being very imaginative using it... This is beautiful! Good job "steppin' out of line", too!
