A New Year

Welcome to 2010!

I have been visibly absent for two months, and although many of my readers know why, not all. So today I wanted to share with you that my sweet father passed away on December 9th after a long illness. This is a picture of the two of us: I was eight years old and we were working for the forest service in a lookout tower fighting fires in the Coconino National Forest in Arizona.

He was a wonderful man, and though we all miss him dearly, we are also glad that he is no longer fighting all of the ills that diabetes brings on.

Thank you to all who have sent me beautiful cards, notes, hugs and prayers. I appreciate you so much!

And now it's time to stamp again and get back into the groove! I will have some exciting news to share tomorrow, so stay tuned!

  9. Hallo,
I just popped in from Flourishes - I don't know many stampers from Nebraska (my home state) so I had to say HI.
Sorry to hear your sad news!!!!
Do you mind if I ask where in NE? I am from North Bend/Morse Bluff - near Fremont. I accually live in NW FL (for the last 11 yrs) and am only a hop down the road from Flourishes - I am in Fort Walton Beach Fl.
I am accually leaving tomorrow am to be home for 2 weeks - my Mom is having knee replacement surgery. I don't even have a winter coat anymore and haven't seen snow for more than 14/15 years - Mom is blaming me for all the bad weather up there lately...
Ah well - gotta see if i can finish cramming - ah packing my suitcase.....
