What Style?

I am not sure what "my style" is.  Do you know how to categorize yours?  I am asked that occasionally, and I never know what to say.  I love to do shabby chic, vintage, elegant, cutesy, funky, clean and simple, and just about everything inbetween. So I always answer "eclectic" - which really means: "Who knows?"  :)

Today I am sharing a card with a totally new kind of images for me.  I don't think I have ever made an Asian-themed card.  How do you categorize that?  Is it elegant? Not so simple, I don't think - took me a long time to watercolor the images.  Well, in any case, here it is and I LOVE it!

Asian Carp by Sparkle N Sprinkle
I made this for today's Splitcoast Color Challenge: Concord Parfait Pizzazz. I don't have the Stampin' Up! InColors, so I substituted with what I had.

My images are all by Sparkle N Sprinkle from a beautiful set called Asian Carp.

I stamped my images in Charcoal VersaColor and then embossed with Black and Clear Embossing Powders. I watercolored my images using reinkers and an aqua brush.

I used an atyou Spica Glitter Pen on the water and leaves.  Click on either picture for a close-up of the lovely sparkle.  I am in love with those pens...

If you love Asian, you really must check out this set.  It is one of the biggest, most beautiful and versatile sets I have seen in the Asian theme. SNS has a lot of beautiful Asian stamps.  You can see them HERE

Thanks for coming by today.  My senior-in-high school-daughter is sick today, so we are off to the doctor!  Allergies and fall do not mix well.  Hope you had a great Labor Day weekend!

  1. Hello Judy!

What a wonderful colorful card, love the images that you used and the way you colored them and matched them up with the papers! It's great to not have just one style, don't you think? I like the change as well and keeps it exciting for us as well, to see what you came up with!

    Hugs, Wendy
