One Layer Sympathy

Today I am sharing a one-layer card --- the hardest kind for me to make!
And a sympathy card at that!

I masked my card and sponged on the beach colors, then stamped my images from Rubbernecker Stamps with Crumb Cake and Sahara Sand inks.
I added a few Kaiser pearls for embellishments.

The sentiment says "May time bring happy memories instead of present sorrows."
I like how calming this is.

Stamps: Rubbernecker Stamps
Paper: Very Vanilla (Stampin' Up!)
Ink: Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand, More Mustard, Bashful Blue, Bliss Blue, Tempting Turquoise (Stampin' Up!)
Accessories: Chino Pearls (Kaiser)
Techniques: sponging, masking

  2. Judy - that's beautiful, and a perfect sympathy card. The sea is, I think, always tranquil and calming, and the verse is lovely. I need to stock up on a couple of sympathy cards myself - I ended up stamping a sentiment on another suitable card in a hurry this week!
