Call Me

I love this little Heart Phone by Gourmet Rubber Stamps. It just makes me smile.
I made a quick 4.25' square CAS design today using Heart Phone and a sentiment from Lawn Fawn's On the Mend, which fits perfectly!

I stamped on Copic Blending CS with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and colored in the phone using Spectrum Noir markers. Easy peasy! Supplies available at i {heart} papers!

I am VERY excited today about Opening Day for baseball season -- not only do I love baseball, but that means Spring HAS to come!

Rain or Shine...

We had a lovely spring rain last night -- and will get a lovely spring snow Sunday night. Ugh. Well, I am hoping that the rain returns soon. I love the sound of it on my deck, and this morning when I woke up, there was a delicious fog all around that made me feel like I was in England! It burned off by 10 a.m. and left a cloudless sky.

Sometimes clouds are really fun. Like when they are die cuts from The {Stamps} of Life! Both the umbrella and the cloud dies are fabulous designs by Stephanie Barnard:
The fun stamps are from umbrella4you. You can find the Umbrella Die here and the Cloud Die here.
I stamped the umbrella using Stephanie's Premium Strawberry ink, and filled in with Cornflower. The dots are colored with a Copic marker. I added some Cherries Jubilee buttons by Buttons Galore and 3/8" Aqua Floral Satin ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
On another note, I wanted to share a photo of me and my sweet stamping friend, Jami Bova. I had the pleasure of meeting her on my trip to Arizona, and we had time to snap a little photo!

I think it's Spring!! 50 degrees by 10 AM and lots of little birdies chirping. The forecast for Sunday is 64, so I am hopeful, even with the 45 on Monday!

A New Featured Stamper Challenge

Today I am hosting the SCS Featured Stamper Challenge. Jennifer Timko is our FS this week, and I just love her gallery. I cased this gorgeous card. I kept her layout, but changed the sentiment, trim, embossing folder, and used flowers instead of seam binding. I added another bit of color with the Champagne Metallic Cardstock layer.
My sentiment is from With Gratitude, one of my favorite Flourishes sets available at i {heart} papers. I stamped the sentiment using Espresso Truffle ink (Memento). I adhered my sentiment banner (hand cut), lace trim (Hobby Lobby) and flowers (Prima) using ISP Red Line Tape.

Come play along~!

Spellbinders New 5 x 7 Dies

Today's design uses one of Spellbinders new 5 x 7 dies. I had the pleasure of reviewing these new dies for the Splitcoast Product Review Team. You can read the full review and see lots of amazing samples here.
It was a little tricky getting the intricate design away from the metal die, but in the reviews, you can read about some of the tips and tricks for that. I also just recently purchased a very thin metal plate to add to my machine sandwiches, and it works wonders!
The die in this design is called Elegant Labels Four.
I decided to use patterned paper for my focus, and add one of the beautiful sentiments from With Gratitude (a Flourishes set, available at i {heart} papers). I stamped with Memento London Fog ink. I love the subtle softness of this color. I scored my base cardstock using my Scor-Pal. A few flower and pearls and this intricate beauty was done!

Stamps: With Gratitude (Flourishes)
Paper: Pink Paislee DP, Very Vanilla, Mellow Moss
Ink: London Fog (Memento)
Accessories and Tools: Spellbinders Elegant Labels Four 5 x 7, Prima flowers, Kaiser Pearls, Scor-Pal

Challenges for this card:
Aud Sentiments Challenge - Card or Project with a Sentiment for a Girl

Since it's supposed to be Spring (27 degrees and snow on the way to my house today....), I wanted to make a fun spring card using the cute Peachy Keen Shower Peepers stamp set. Along with some adorable chicks, this set has a super cute umbrella too!
I used Jen's Deconstructed Sketch 94 for my layout:
I love this layout with the little banners.
The umbrella is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored in with Copic markers. I added some sparkle along the bottom edge of the umbrella with Crystal Stickles. I used my favorite Apple Green Mini Ric Rac and Green Apple Baker's Twine, along with some pretty Kaiser pearls from Really Reasonable Ribbon for my embellishments.

March IHP Design Team Challenge

Our i {heart} papers DT Challenge this month was to choose a favorite from past challenges. I decided to be a little open-ended and chose the July 2012--Anything Goes Challenge - basically using current product that I hadn't had a chance to use yet!
Isn't that little giraffe the cutest with his 'stache? These images are from Avery Elle's What's Up?. I just knew I had to have this set - I mean, I have giraffe stamps, but a giraffe with a 'stache is the best! You can find this set at i {heart} papers HERE.

I stamped on Georgia Pacific White CS with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored in using Spectrum Noir markers from the Yellows set. I used Amy Tangerine's Yes Please 6x6 paper and added a little chipboard banner from October Afternoon's Sunny Side Up. The Brown Sugar Divine Twine added a nice contrast for my button.

I hope you'll hop along and see what the rest of the team has made.  Here you go:

Be sure to check out the great 12x12 sale going on right now too!

Thursday Means A New Sketch~!

It's Thursday, and that means a fabulous new sketch at The Deconstructed Sketch: Sketch #93!
I turned the sketch on its side and changed the small rectangle to an oval.

My images are from Old Fashioned Florals, a new Flourishes set available at i {heart} papers! I stamped my images using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored in using Spectrum Noir markers.
I used Spellbinders 5x7 Detailed Scalloped and Labels Ten dies. The ribbon is White Checkerboard Satin from Really Reasonable Ribbon. Denim Kaiser Pearls round out the embellishments.

The Deconstructed Sketch girls have some terrific samples to show, so be sure to have a visit at their blogs too!

It's a Swirly Blog Hop with True's Friends!

I am so excited today to be a part of "Friends of True's - Swirly Spring" BLOG HOP! If you are here from Joe Rotella's blog, you are in the right place. If you just happened onto mine you will want to head back to True's blog where it all starts. There will be a prize package donated by Inky Antics that includes True's entire, newly released, Swirly Spring stamp line!

For my card today, I created a CAS design using Swirly Bees.

Click on the photo for a close-up! I stamped the bee and sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and then colored in the bee with Copics. I added Crystal Stickles to its wings. The paper is also True's (and I LOVE this!), called Sunny Day On White, and I cut that out with my Spellbinders' Hexagon dies. Love this little bee set and True's beautiful papers!

Here is a list of all of the links in case you get lost along the way.

Make sure to leave a comment on every stop, to increase your chances of winning the prize package. One lucky commenter from a randomly picked blog will win all 6 stamp sets! The winner will be announced on True's Blog on Monday, March 11th. Your next stop on the hop is Lori Craig's blog! I know she will have some lovely eye candy to share!
