Come Hop With Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps!

Hello my crafty friends!
Welcome to Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps September 2015 Release and Blog Hop!

SNSS is releasing five brand new stamp sets this month and adding four new products from the September Sweet Perks Club to the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Store!

There is something for everyone this month! I chose to highlight the two new Bible Journaling sets. In the coming days, I will be showing you some pages from my Bible that I have done, but today I want to show how versatile this set is for cards too.
I painted a heart freehand (obviously!) and then painted the background using reinkers and a brush. I stamped the sentiment from Words of Life Collection 1 in VersaFine Onyx Black. Some silver thread, pearls, piercing and paper flowers finished it off. The black panel is dry embossed with a Cuttlebug folder, though it's hard to see in the picture. This card was sort of a practice for my Bible Journaling. It's a sweet greeting for my son and his wife, who are expecting their first baby at the end of the week!

This background was made with Brushos. I sprinkled on blue and purple and then sprayed with water. I added a few sequins and then some fun fibers. The sentiment from Words of Life Collection 1 is stamped with VersaFine Onyx Black ink. I love using fibers on my cards. It isn't popular now like it once was, but I don't really go with trends all that much anyway. By the time I get trends figured out, everyone else has moved on, so I just do my own thing! ha!

  1. Love what you've done with these Bible Journaling sets, Judy! Your awesome samples show the versatility of these fun sets, and I can't wait to see your Bible Journal pages! What a precious card for your son and DIL, and the background and fibers on your second card are beautiful! Good for you…being a trend setter is much better than being a trend follower…IMHO! Hugs!

  6. Congratulations on your pending Grandparentage (is that a word?) Couldn't find a more perfect expression for that card! Somebody has to keep the 'old' stuff we still have in circulation and how better than to see it on a beautiful card.
