Love Pink & Purple?

Do you love pink and purple? I surely do! Definitely two colors that always make me happy! And even more so if it includes a giraffe! There is a fabulous challenge going on at the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog and it's all about pink and purple!
I love my Hambo Stamps' giraffes! Doesn't this one look cute all decked out in pink spots? The Bright Pink Ric Rac and little Ivory Burlap String bow are both from Really Reasonable Ribbon!

Come play along with us in the Challenge! Create a card, layout, multi media piece, tag, ATC, hair bow, you name it. Just be sure to follow the theme and use ribbon, lace or trim somewhere on your project.

You have until Wednesday, August 3rd at 11:59 PM Eastern time to enter your projects. The Top Three will be chosen and posted on August 5th! It's tons of fun!

Christmas in July with Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps!

The Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Creative Team is excited to bring you a little dose of winter fun with our Christmas in July Blog Hop! And although summer is my favorite season, I am looking forward to seeing all of the "COOL" projects, as our forecast for today's high is 107! Not usual for us!
I chose one my favorite SNSS winter set, Snowman Soup, for my card today. I had watercolored my background just playing around one day, and I decided it needed a home. I used a piece of silver and gray washi tape behind my banner sentiment to help ground it to the rest of the card. The circles on the tape are shimmery and it's really pretty IRL. My background is supposed to represent our blizzard! I paper pieced the snowman's cup and used Copic markers to color. He looks all cozy in the midst of the blizzard behind him!

Now onto this COOL Hop! You will be able to find all of the team participant blogs at the end of this post. Simply click on their name and you will be taken to their blog. The list will be on each person's blog, so no need to start at a particular place. Just look for the next blog in the line-up and off you go!  Please be sure to leave the Team some love along the way. We will be drawing a winner from all of the blog comments and that person will receive a FREE Christmas stamp set (in stock) of their choosing from the SNSS line!

We are also excited to pass along a fun weekend sale on our Christmas stamps! Enter code CMASJULY during checkout TODAY through Sunday, July 24th and receive 15% off our entire line of Christmas stamp sets!

You can find Snowman Soup in the SNSS Shop (along with other samples for your mojo!) HERE. Enjoy!

Hope

Welcome to the Really Reasonable Ribbon July Blog Hop! If you arrived here from Ginny's blog, you are in the right place! If you just happened along, be sure to start at the beginning at the RRR Blog (I am the fourth stop, so you don't have far back to go!) so you don't miss out on the awesome projects, fun news, and a prize from Really Reasonable Ribbon!
Our hop goes live at 6:30 AM Central.

Each 13th of the month it's the Really Reasonable Ribbon blog hop where we highlight the Ribbon Club! I LOVE Bonnie's choices for the July ribbon club package. If you really love ribbon and would like to have a wonderful assortment of ribbons sent to you automatically each month, just join the Really Reasonable Ribbon Club! Monthly ribbon club assortments are selected and pre-packed to reflect a specific theme, color, or holiday season. The assortments vary from month to month, but an average assortment has 5-9 different ribbon styles and consists of 10-15 yards of ribbon.  You will love it! Take a peek:
The color combo in the Club package this month is one of my favorite color combinations. Pink and purple ROCK! Pink is my favorite color!! But -- I decided to stretch myself and NOT make a pink card (those will come later in the month!) and show one from a new technique I learned this past weekend in Texas.
I used the beautiful 3/8" Diamond Hyacinth Ribbon in the July Club package and created a double looped bow with my Bow-it-All for my CAS design. The goose and sentiment (Watercolor Words/SU!) were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I outlined parts of the goose with an Elegant Writer Pen, and then added water with an aqua brush. As you pull the color out, it turns blue and then light pink - all from adding a little black pen! I love this technique!
I jazzed up the background a little with marbled paper and a little strip of Dazzling Diamonds Paper (both SU!) under the main panel.

Now off to Cheryl's blog, where you will have a feast for the eyes!

Thanks for stopping by today!
