Scare Me!

This little scarecrow is so cute, I don't think he will scare anyone! Digi image and sentiment {Scarecrow Greetings} are available from i {heart} papers.

I made this for today's Splitcoast Ways To Use It Challenge: A Banner Day. I don't have any banner stamps, so just made one and added buttons. I printed my image on Copic Blending Cardstock and colored it with Copic markers. Love this cute little guy!  This image and three others are available in the September Collection by Chicken Girl Designs:

Tonight is Opening Night for our Community Theatre play, "The Hound of the Baskervilles." Last night's dress rehearsal went well, and I am hoping that our opening night audience loves the show as much as we do.  I hope to post some pictures later this week.

I got my son's wedding invitation in the mail earlier this week.  It was very strange to see it in print!  But not in a bad way - in an unbelievable way.  I can't believe he is old enough to be married! Four and 1/2 weeks to go!

Thank you for stopping by today!

Whirlwind of a fall - just like the breeze in the air!

Wow! It has been awhile since I have been able to find some stamping time.  Glad I did today!

First I want to share my card for today.

For today's SCS Inspiration Challenge 251 we were given a German website to browse called Tadenberg. I chose two items: iPod case and playing card design (Click on the third slide picture where it is the Ace of Hearts).

I stamped my images in Charcoal VersaColor and then embossed with Clear Powder. I used a Sakura Quickie Glue Pen and added Black Ice and Crystal Ice Glitter. Click on the picture below for a close-up sparkly view.

All images, embossing powder, glitters and ink are from Sparkle N Sprinkle.

This Thursday the play that I am performing in, "The Hound of the Baskervilles," opens at Kearney Community Theatre. You can read about it HERE.  We have been busy working on lines, set, costumes, and hair! I have been working on my teaching days off at the theatre in the box office, selling tickets and doing various other box office-y jobs.  It is a lot of fun, but takes away from my stamping time.

This past week was also Parent-Teacher Conferences at school, and I have had to squeeze in extra hours of work between the end of the teaching day and the beginning of rehearsals to accommodate that.

And having a senior in high school and a son getting married in about six weeks.....

In any case, I was glad to get in my studio today and make this card.  I hope you like it!

A Few Berries and a Color Challenge

I made this card for today's SCS Color Challenge 288. . .

I was so excited when my sweet friend (and challenge hostess) Betty asked me to help with a sample for this week's challenge. I knew I wanted to use this new set {Wild Berry Vine} from Rubber Stamp Tapestry. For a great tutorial on using this set, click here.

I stamped my images using Always Artichoke, Blue Bayou and VersaColor Ash Rose.  The berries have Diamond Stickles added for a little sugary sparkle. I have a giant plastic container of pieces of ribbon - all sorts and sizes and colors, and I was excited when I dug through it all and found this braided trim.  Perfect for the colors today!

Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy your day!

You Are The Apple of My Eye!

Today is Release Day for Chicken Girl Designs at i {heart} papers!  There are four fun fall images to choose from in the September Collection illustrated by Jannie Ho.  For my card today I chose Apple of My Eye. I think this little elephant is adorable with his apple basket!

I printed my image on Georgia Pacific White and then colored with Copic Markers.  I am so hooked on atyou Spica Glitter pens, and used several on the apples and the elephant.  Take a look here (click on the picture for a close-up view):

Designer paper is by Cosmo Cricket. Be sure to check out what the rest of the Design Team has for you today.  I am sure it's loads of fun!
