Freshly Made Sketches #404

It's Wednesday and time for a new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches! Amy is our hostess this week, and she has a fun, versatile sketch to play with.

I am so excited to be sharing as a Guest Designer for Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps for September. Today I am using the new DECK THE HALLS clear stamp set. Love the sentiments and fonts in this set, as well as all the little extras. Come back tomorrow to see more of this awesome Christmas set!

I decided to use some lovely embossed papers from Kaisercraft (Be-YOU-tiful), and emboss on top of that! It's a little tricky, due to the slicker, raised edges, but I love how it turned out. I used Ranger Queen's Gold for my embossing powder. I added a few little rhinestones for added sparkle, and some metallic thread for a hanger.

Be sure to check out the entire September release at Sweet 'N Sassy HERE!

I hope you will join us with your take on the sketch this week! Our challenge is open until 3 PM EDT on Monday. Click on the links on the FMS blog by each photo to see what my teammates have created on their blogs!

Freshly Made Sketches #403

It's Wednesday and time for a new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches! Narelle is our hostess.

I missed last week due to my eye surgery, but am happy to be joining in this week's sketch!

I love Doodlebugs' Doodle-pops. The cute style and 3D look always appeals to me when I am out shopping in a craft store. The designs just make me smile. But rarely do I actually put them on cards once they're home. Today's sketch brought my growing collection to mind, and I decided to use one (Bright Bunch) for today's sketch.
The patterned paper for the background, as well as the banner strips are from a Doodlebug paper pad - Cream and Sugar Collection. My sentiment is Taylored Expressions' Simple Strips Background and dies - a must have! I think this will cheer up the recipient and make them smile!

I hope you will join us with your take on the sketch this week! Our challenge is open until 3 PM EDT on Monday. Click on the links on the FMS blog by each photo to see what my teammates have created on their blogs!

September Release Day for Picket Fence Studios!

It's an exciting day for Picket Fence Studios - the September Release! There are so MANY amazing products in this release - new stencils, stamps, and coordinating dies - plus foiling plates!

This week was a little rough, as I had some eye surgery recently, and am recovering from that. But yesterday I was able to make a card to share for the release, and will have plenty more in the days to come!
I chose the beautiful new stencil, Patterns of Flower, for my background. This is such a fun stencil, and so versatile for many occasions. I paired it with the new Get Well stamp.

I started with my Life Changing Blender Brushes to blend in the Distress Oxide inks. With the light shining on the sentiment, you can see that I embossed it with a transparent embossing powder (Ocean Spark - SNS). I chose some fun blue metallic thread to match, and added sequins for extra bling.

It's a fabulous release, so head over to Picket Fence Studios to see it all! There is so MUCH MORE to check out! And I will see you back tomorrow for more stamping fun!

It's STAMPtember with Picket Fence Studios!

It's a pretty exciting month, and an even more exciting day when Picket Fence Studios can share the awesome SHAKE YOUR FLAKES THIS SEASON! This exclusive stamp set is available while supplies last.

I love all of the different snowmen, and the sweet puppies and cat. I made a swirling snow background using Liquitex acrylic paint and my Gel Press. I stamped two different snowflakes on my background, along with the two snowdrifts (look closely!) with VersaMark, and then embossed with Catherine Pooler's Wanderlust EP.

I stamped my images with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink, and then colored with Copic markers. The sentiment was cut with a Spellbinders fishtail banner die. I added some chunky glitter to the bottom of my snowman and puppy. I finished off my card with silver thread for some added bling.
Be sure to grab this adorable winter set before it sells out!

Freshly Made Sketches #401

It's Wednesday and time for a new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches! Cécile is our hostess for this week's sketch.

But first - thank you to all of our sponsors for our Sketch #400 Celebration, and to all who played along. It was wonderful seeing all of your creations!

Today I am sharing my first card as a September Guest Designer for Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. This precious new stamp set, Fur-ever Friends, has many woodland creatures and scenery elements, and is just adorable. I chose the deer for today's card.
Isn't she sweet? I colored with Copic markers, and then fussy cut. I added a circle frame of copper metallic paper (Paper Source) and some DP from CTMH, and then wrapped it all up with some of my favorite metallic threads. The little acorn hiding behind her adds some grounding, as well as being part of the leaves on the sketch:

Love Color? Join The Rainbow Card Challenge!

Every first of the month, The Rainbow Card Challenge posts a new graphic for inspiration to create. It's always fun to see others' ideas, and to share your art! Take a look at this month's challenge, and then come join us! You have almost a month to create!

Today I am sharing a fun coffee card. So maybe you can guess this month's color:
I started with Taylored Expressions' cute Feathered Stencil and Vintage Photo DOX ink. The copper paper is a gift from my sister and looks great in the Reverse Confetti word die. The sweet little cups are brand new to me (also TE), with some gorgeous watercolor patterned paper in browns behind them. The little stickers match the stencil so perfectly. Those are from "the stash."

Come check out the challenge details and see more "Beautiful Brown" inspiration at The Rainbow Challenge blog!
