Freshly Made Sketches #551

It's Wednesday and time for a new sketch from Freshly Made Sketches! Kim is our hostess this week, with a great sketch to show off some of my hoarded patterned papers!

I used a gel print background, made with acrylic paints, and cut out my leafy leaf (SU!). I adjusted it a bit by moving some of the leaves to fit around my sentiment (The Greetery/Opposites Attract). I found some pretty prints in the Floral 6x6 pad from Echo Park, and stacked them on top. Finally, I added some sequins for bling.

I hope you will join our sketch challenge, and add your creations to our gallery! I would love to see what you make!

This challenge will end at 3:00 EDT time on Monday, September 5. Be sure to take a peek at the gorgeous cards my teammates have created on the FMS blog to inspire you! There are some beautiful designs there!

A Blessing

Happy Sunday! Wow, did August fly or what?

It seems like I was just waiting for my three grandkids to arrive on the 17th, and here it is the end of the month already. Well, we had a wonderful visit and it was such fun to have them at our house for the first time since February 2020 (my littlest wasn't even born yet and he turned 2 here a week ago today!).

I think everyone is wishing for the cool fall temps to get here (today it's 95), so I made a pretty fall tag to hurry them along using products available at Stamp Simply.

I started my tag by stenciling with various colors of Distress Oxide ink using the Flourish stencil (product links below). I then cut the Fall Foliage leaves from gel prints and backgrounds made with acrylic paints. I added spots of gold with Gold Leafing on some of the leaves. I added the Venise Lace and stamped circle sentiment, then added Latte pearls on the circle as well as on the tag itself. I tea dyed and crinkled my seam binding, and tied a double bow, fraying the edges.

Isn't that font gorgeous? So many wonderful sentiments for those in ministry - and many can be used for other occasions as well (like the one I chose!). This was a fun one to make - and I am looking forward to all of these colors soon! You can see more details about this tag on the Stamp Simply Blog today!

Ministry Appreciation from Stamp Simply

Being a pastor's kid, and the wife of an interim pastor for a couple of years, I appreciate the work that goes into shepherding congregations. I love that Stamp Simply carries stamp sets specifically for Pastor & Ministry Appreciation greetings. I made today's share with that in mind - making a card that could be used for a male or a female in ministry.

I kept the colors muted, using stamps, stencils, and paper all available at Stamp Simply (links are below!), and gave the card base an apricot color that works with both. You can find out more about this card and the products I used on the Stamp Simply blog today! Thanks for stopping by!

Blessings All Year 'Round

Happy Sunday! Today I am sharing a card highlighting the special of the week at Stamp Simply!

I chose Seasonal Wreaths - Fall/Winter for my card today. I stamped with VersaFine Clair Nocturne and then embossed with Clear EP. I colored my image with Copic markers.

I love the Flourish stencil. It was a perfect backdrop for the beautiful wreath. The Crackling Campfire DOX blended beautifully to a faded color.

Freshly Made Sketches #548

It's Wednesday and time for a new sketch from Freshly Made Sketches! Jacquie is our hostess this week, with a great sketch for room to play!

I flipped the sketch so my vertical panel was on the left. I used the Tall Skyline Tree Frame from Poppy Stamps, and a sentiment from I Love You More by MFT. A few sequins to bling it up. The background for my tree was made with acrylic paints.

I hope you will join our sketch challenge, and add your creations to our gallery! I would love to see what you make!

This challenge will end at 3:00 EDT time on Monday, August 15. Be sure to take a peek at the gorgeous cards my teammates have created on the FMS blog to inspire you! There are some beautiful designs there!

The Lord Bless You

Happy Sunday! Today I am sharing a card that I made for our pastor's wife, using products from Stamp Simply

I love the Lace stencil. It was a perfect backdrop for the sweet springs and cup from the Coffee or Tea? Dies set. This color combination is not something I would have thought I would like, but it's really a beautiful contrast.

You can see more details and products on the Stamp Simply Blog today! Thanks for stopping by!

Freshly Made Sketches #547

Happy August! It's Wednesday and time for a new sketch from Freshly Made Sketches! It is my pleasure to be hosting this week.

You can hardly go wrong with the Forever Fern set from Stampin' Up! I used several different Distress Oxide inks to stamp and blend my panels. Metallic thread and rhinestones added bling. The word die is from Altenew, and one of my favorites! And, as you can see, I decided to flip the sketch, as it fit better with my stamping.

I hope you will join our sketch challenge, and add your creations to our gallery! I would love to see what you make!

This challenge will end at 3:00 EDT time on Monday, August 8. Be sure to take a peek at the gorgeous cards my teammates have created on the FMS blog to inspire you! There are some beautiful designs there!
