Miss You

Brrrrr! Is it snowy cold in your part of the world? We have had single digit temps with below zero wind chill this week, and I have been wearing my warm scarf, hat and gloves. Cozy - just like this little bunny!

This cute and fluffy bun is from the Warm Winter Friends set from Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps. I stamped the sentiment and bunny in VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink, and then colored in with Copic markers. I embossed the image in Clear EP before coloring, and then cut out with the coordinating dies. The beautiful tree in the background is the Bare Tree Die, cut from white cardstock.

The background is made from ink blending three different Distress Oxides, spattering with water, and then applying White Paper Glaze (PFS) through a snowflake stencil (Honey Bee Stamps). The stitched edger dies are from Whimsy Stamps. I love combining so many different products to create something cute!

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you are staying warm!

Hope

Today's share shows off one of my favorite techniques: ink blending. Specifically ink blending with Distress Oxides inks (Did you check out the new color just released?!)

I am using products available at Stamp Simply. I first embossed the daffodils, using embossing ink and Bright White opaque embossing powder (WOW!). The background was made by blending the three oxide inks, then wiping with a cloth to bring out the white embossed flowers. Finished with a spattering of water and Gold Perfect Pearls. The uncolored daffodils are stamped with VersaFine Clair Nocturne and then embossed with clear powder.

You can see more about this project and the products I used on the Stamp Simply blog today!

Freshly Made Sketches #570

It's time for a new sketch from Freshly Made Sketches! Beautiful Jen Timko is our hostess this week. Even though Reverse Confetti has closed, they will always remain one of my favorite companies and I will continue to use what adorable products I have! Today I am highlighting Love Bugs.

I love pink, so pink clouds were the choice for the background. I used a stencil from MFT and Spun Sugar DOX. The stitched cloud die is also from MFT. That cute bee is colored with Copics, and the sentiment is stamped with VersaFine Clair Nocturne. Sequins by Pretty Pink Posh.

I hope you will join our sketch challenge, and add your creations to our gallery! I would love to see what you make!

This challenge will end at 3:00 EST time on Monday, January 30. Be sure to take a peek at the gorgeous cards my teammates have created on the FMS blog to inspire you! There are some beautiful and very creative designs there!

Happy Sunday! Today it's a coffee loving valentine kind of day!

I love pink and red together, and I love coffee and me together! All products are available at Stamp Simply.

The tall cup is stamped with VersaFine Clair Nocturne, and then embossed with Clear EP. I colored it with Copic markers to match the My Valentine hearts paper. All panels are popped up with foam tape (3 layers popped up). I adore this paper! You can see more about this card and the products I used on the Stamp Simply blog today!

Freshly Made Sketches #569

It's Wednesday and time for a new sketch from Freshly Made Sketches! The talented and creative Jacquie is our hostess this week, and her sketch has lots of play room!

My background was made with the plastic wrap technique of twisting and drying on a panel of Infusions (scrunching up the  plastic wrap in a clockwise fashion on a wet Infusions panel and letting it dry, then removing the plastic wrap). I cut it out with Stampin' Up!'s big floral from the Artistic Dies. The embossing folder is also from Stampin' Up!, and the word die is from Altenew. I added Latte pearls (Kaisercraft) and gold metallic thread (to help keep with the sketch across the bottom) for sparkle.

I hope you will join our sketch challenge, and add your creations to our gallery! I would love to see what you make!

This challenge will end at 3:00 EST time on Monday, January 23. Be sure to take a peek at the gorgeous cards my teammates have created on the FMS blog to inspire you! There are some beautiful and very creative designs there!

Valentine Love

Happy Sunday! The team at Stamp Simply has been sharing valentines and cards of love this week. I am concluding the week with this clean and simple scripture card.

I chose a beautiful pattern from the Craft Consortium Ink Drops Rose 6x6 paper pad to build from. I wanted that pattern to be a main focus, but also share the spotlight with the rose (Thinking of You Rose), so I left the stamped image uncolored. I think it works! Metallic gold and light pink are the mat and base colors that complement the pink and gold in the patterned paper. While the rose, sentiment, and small heart are popped up, as well as the black/gold panels, it's still easily mailable, and that's always a plus!

Freshly Made Sketches #568

It's Wednesday and time for a new sketch from Freshly Made Sketches! I am excited to be hosting this week and hope you can join us! As always, the squares can be any shape or element you desire. I look forward to seeing all of your creative ideas.

I have a couple of friends who recently had babies ten days apart. I wanted to make something a little more artsy than baby, and this is what I came up with!

I used a Sizzix embossing folder filled with hearts for the background (so much love for baby!), and a group of three word dies (also Sizzix) cut out to show the beautiful Candy Ink Drops paper by Craft Constortium (available at Stamp Simply). I added a fishtail sentiment from SSS.

I hope you will join our sketch challenge, and add your creations to our gallery! I would love to see what you make!

This challenge will end at 3:00 EST time on Monday, January 16. Be sure to take a peek at the gorgeous cards my teammates have created on the FMS blog to inspire you! There are some beautiful and very creative designs there!

Encourage One Another

One of my goals this year is to mail more cards to encourage my friends. I have a LOT of cards made, and just never seem to get any in the mail. So I hope to be intentional about mailing to let people know I am thinking of them. This is a simple card with a color combination that I love -- and a very simple sentiment that doesn't get said often enough. All products are available at Stamp Simply (links below).

I absolutely love the Tim Holtz Bloom Colorize Die, but I'm not super fast putting all the pieces together. So -- I chose part of the foliage and just cut it out from white cardstock three times. I recently got the Sizzix 3D Tree Rings Embossing Folder, and decided to use it for a background for my leaves. The sentiment is from a favorite set - Farmhouse Simple Sentiments. I just love the font. I love a little sparkle, so added three rhinestones from my stash.

I think it makes a pretty card to send to a beautiful friend, and I hope it brings her encouragement as she starts this new year!
