Lovely Blues

This week's Featured Stamper at SCS was Albongo aka Alison Watson.  She has a lovely gallery with such beautiful creations. I chose this card to case.

There She Goes has the sweetest images! I stamped my Sweet Peas and sentiment in VersaFine Onyx Black ink, and then embossed with Clear EP. I used the same layout, Sweet Pea image, Cuttlebug folder, and added lace, pearls, and a sentiment. I also changed colors and left off the butterfly.

I had a lovely long-time friend who invited my daughter over for Easter dinner -- 700 miles away -- and I am sending her this card to thank her for that very special gesture.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Puppy Love

I love this sweet little image from There She Goes. It is part of a darling set called - you guessed it - Puppy Love. It has SO many images that are so adorable! This is the valentine I made for my daughter. I am traveling to visit her this weekend (she is in college over 700 miles away) and am taking it with me, along with some other belated valentine gifts. She is a Theatre major and her acting debut as a college student is this weekend, so I am excited to go and see her play! We have two dogs that she misses a lot, so I thought this was a perfect card for her.

I will have some fun things to show you while I am gone, so be sure to come for a visit!  Today is my last day as a current Dirty Dozen Design Team member. Tomorrow will make six months - and time to turn the reins (and reign!) over to a new Dirty Girl -- you will LOVE what they have made, so be sure to check out the Splitcoast Fan Club tomorrow! If you are not a member, you NEED to be!!

Have a GREAT night!

It's Here and It's ZOO-PENDOUS!

Awhile back you may remember that I won a wonderful prize from There She Goes. I got a $100 shopping spree (and bought some awesome things I have yet to show!) and also the opportunity to work with owner Jessica Knutsen in developing a stamp set!

Well today is the day for Sneak Peeks of ZOO-PENDOUS! I am so excited and thrilled, and I LOVE it! The artwork by Melyssa Connolly is adorable! Jessica was absolutely wonderful to work with, and I am so thankful for the opportunity. Thanks so much, Jess and Melyssa! It is just perfect.

It will probably come as no surprise that for my last minute sneak peek I chose the little giraffe and coordinating sentiment. Or that it is pink..... :)
I chose Lime Twist's Happy Go Lucky designer paper as the basis for the colors in my little scene. The clouds are fluffled up with Twinkling Clouds Sparkle N Soft. The sentiment is raised and made into a little bowed banner. Click on the photo for a closer view.

Zoo-pendous will be available this Satruday at There She Goes! To see some amazing samples with this set, head on over to the TSG Blog, and you could win this set just for YOU!

Tune in tomorrow for some free stuff courtesy of TLC Creations!

Have a great day!

My Second One-Handed Card - Probably A Mistake

I think I better be good from now on. The digi image card was not too bad so I tried a stamped and watercolored one --- it looks so simple does it not? This could be one way to force me to learn to stamp CAS! :)

But -- I didn't realize how many muscles you use when you actually stamp versus printing a digi and not coloring. In any case, I think I learned my lesson.....on ice right now!

My images are from Sweet Pea by There She Goes. I watercolored my image with Melon Mambo reinker and an aqua brush. I added Spica Glitter pens to the flowers and stems. This is for the Milestone Challenge at TSG.

I also want to put in a plug for Top Tip Tuesday - a fun challenge blog that I am now a part of! Thank goodness I don't have to stamp for it for another week! More healing time.

Hop on over to try out these challenges plus:
SCS Teapot Tuesday - CAS flowers

Stamps: Sweet Pea by There She Goes
Paper: Madeleine DP by K & Co., PTI White
Ink: Melon Mambo, Memento Tuxedo Black, Spica Glitter Pens
Accessories: pearls, word window punch

It's a Surprise Birthday Hop!

Today is a birthday celebration for Jessica, owner of There She Goes.  A few of her friends have put together some special wishes for her in a surprise blog hop! Don't miss out on any of the wishes. The beginning of the hop starts at Angela's blog.  If you came here from Joy's blog, you are on track!

It's the weekend, and I am trying to stamp more CAS designs on weekends.  Layers upon layers is my usual style.  There is a reason, as this Thursday I will be having surgery on my left wrist and elbow for carpal tunnel syndrome.  Hurray! One-hand stamping! At least I hope I can swing it.  And I figure CAS will be the easiest way to do that. Fingers crossed that I can stamp at all!

In any case, here is my birthday wish for Jessica!  I used Thinking of You, the first TSG set that I bought during the first months of TSG's beginnings!

I stamped my images using Real Red, Only Orange, Yoyo Yellow and Green Galore markers (Stampin' Up!). I added my Clear Spica Glitter pen to the flowers and they are so sparkly, which my picture doesn't show.  Imagine it :)

A little Cuttlebug, a little red, orange and yellow Baker's Twine (Really Reasonable Ribbon), a tag, and Happy Birthday, Jessica! I will be thinking of you tomorrow on your special day.  Hope you were surprised~!

Now on the the amazing Julie Lacey.  I am always wowed by what she makes and I know you will be too~!

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of the hop!

Challenges for this card:
Card Cupids - bright and bold
Dream Valley Challenges - old and new (stamps and twine)
Alphabet Challenge - CAS
Fashionista Friday - CAS
Ribbon Carousel - CAS
