I Am Hostessing the Paper Romance Challenge Today!

Today is a new challenge at the Paper Romance blog, and one I know almost everyone can play: PAPER FLOWERS.  I am the hostess for this week, and I wanted to choose something that I love using, but also that others have (probably) a LOT of!

I made a whimsical tall card today, which was determined by the size of my Primas! My sentiment is from the Cute Companions Celebration set (so versatile!), available at Paper Romance. My designer paper is by Sassafras called "Bungle Jungle".  The cute purple ric rac is available at Really Reasonable Ribbon. My sentiment is stamped with Only Orange dye ink from Stampin' Up!

For Fun Challenges - Choose 3 of pink, blue, purple, green and yellow
The Paper Variety - flowers

It's Paper Romance Challenge Day!

Well glory be - I made my first easel card! I tend to be all "safe" and predictable and make standard A2 or square cards with one fold.  I am glad that Donna challenged us today to make easel cards so I could see how easy it is! I am sure most of you have made one; if not, trust me, they are easy and fun!

Anyway, the challenge over at Paper Romance today is Baby-themed easel cards. I didn't have any baby specific stamps, so looked at my designer paper and found these cute giraffes in K and Co. Baby Girl DP.  And then I made Stretch the Giraffe pink! (You know I love pink, right?)

I think it turned out ok, and I will definitely be making more easel cards! Head on over to the Paper Romance Challenge blog and play along! And while you are there, check out the other cutie pie cards that the Design Team made! Thanks for stopping by today!

Come back later this morning when I am participating in the Sparkle N Sprinkle Blog Hop celebrating special women in our lives!

Other challenges for this card:
KB Cute Monday - babies

Creative Inspirations - Easel cards
Scrapmaster's Paradise - color challenge

Today is Paper Romance Challenge Day and I Am Wingin' It!

Hey stamping friends!

Over at the Paper Romance Challenge blog today we are using buttons, ribbon and lace! Come and join us! Click here for deets and to see what you could win!  The PR team has made some fun creations to inspire you!

My card today is made with Wingin' It Duck and Waddle I Do Without You by High Hopes Stamps, both available at Paper Romance. How can you not be cheered up by this cute little guy?

I stamped my images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored my duck with Copic markers. He makes me smile, and I wish I could do a handstand! My designer paper is from the Garden Variety Collection by Cosmo Cricket.

I hope you are having a great day! My daughter and husband are off again, this time to North Carolina, for the last two college theatre program auditions.  I am very jealous, as they will get to have dinner with my son and his darling wife tonight.  I have a musical that I am helping to direct that opens tonight, so I was unable to go along.  I will be excited to hear about the two schools they are going to and what the results are -- where will my daughter go to college next year!?

Far away....too far!  Anyway, this card is for her - I will save it for her first college care package!

VERY Clean and Simple!

Over at the Paper Romance Challenge blog, the Design Team has made some Clean and Simple Valentines for today's challenge.  I am not usually a CAS stamper, and decided to go VERY simple and use lots of white space.

Jack and Jilly Jelly are adorable stamped with Encore Silver Metallic ink and then embossed with Ice Rink Embossing Powder. I sponged Silver Metallic ink on the oval edge. The sentiment is called Turn to Jelly. Click on the photo for a close up!

I scored three lines and used my Spellbinders Heart dies to cut a heart out of Basic Grey DP. I think I need to move my heart though, so the lines on the DP line up with the scored lines.  What do you think?

Come play along with us! "Clean and Simple" means different things to different people, and you will find all sorts of inspiration HERE.

Other challenge entries for this card:
ABC Challenge - Neutrals (white is a neutral!)
Creative Card Crew - For a Loved One
Creative Craft - Love theme

Today's Paper Romance Challenge is brought to us by DT member Donna, who chose red, cream, and gold Valentines for her challenge to us.  I used Squirrel in Love by Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.

The image is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, and then I colored in the heart with a Lipstick Red Spica Glitter Pen. I used Popcorn the Bear "Fishing" for my card today.  I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black (my go-to ink!) and then colored it in using Copic Markers. My designer paper is from The Green Stack by DCWV.  I added some crazy sewing, and all done!

Check out what the rest of the Paper Romance Design Team made today!

In the market for some new rubber or Spellbinders? Take a look at my $5 SALE.

Joy #9 today is something that people either love or don't! For Christmas, I got my husband a Keurig Coffee maker. It brews one cup at a time using K-Cups. I am sure you saw ads during the holiday season, or perhaps you have one of your own.
In any case, I LOVE it! We don't drink a lot of coffee here, so brewing a whole pot seemed wasteful. This works so well for us! My daughter can choose a flavored coffee, my husband chooses Chai Tea, and I go for the hot cocoa.  One cup each and we are good for the day! And besides that, I purchased it on sale at WalMart and got a $30 gift card on the spot! A great deal for a great gift!

I made my card using the Cute Companions Celebration set. I think that set is adorable and has everything you need for a little sweet celebration!

Today is Joy #4. I know you are probably going to wonder why I didn't post this earlier, but really, the JOYS are in no particular order. But I must say, this one is a GOOD one.  I have been blessed with two beautiful children, whom I love and adore. They are wonderful friends as well, and we have so much fun together. They bring immeasurable joy to my life!

Goofing around

Have a JOYFUL day!

It's Paper Romance Challenge Day! And the Snow is Falling.....on my PAPER!

I must be on a snowman kick! I love snowmen and think they are so cute -- as long as they are on paper and not in my yard! I live in a cold, snowy place, but really prefer warmer weather. So I am happy to make lots of snow cards - and let the snow stay there!

This is for Bonnie's challenge at Paper Romance today.  This week’s challenge is called "The Backwards Color Challenge!"  Are you tired of using red and green on all of your Christmas creations? Well, take a break and let's see those Christmas cards made from any color but red or green! Come play along! You could win a $5 gift certificate to Paper Romance!

I also made my card for the Splitcoast Ways To Use It Challenge: All That Glitters. I used Dapper Dan Snowman by High Hopes (available at Paper Romance). Glitter is on each snowdrift, the "O" on SNOW , my snowflakes, and I also used Spica Glitter pens all over Dapper Dan! My glitter is Crystal Ice. CLICK on the picture above for a close-up of the glitzy glitter! I made my snowdrifts by tearing three pieces of Whisper White cardstock and then brushing them with Brushable Glue.  I dipped each edge in the Crystal Ice Glitter and let them dry before attaching to the card base.

Are You Dragon? It's Paper Romance Challenge Day!

Happy Thanksgiving to all my USA friends!

Hope you aren't draggin' (or dragon!) after a wonderful meal! I am on my way to my father-in-law's memorial service in Arizona.  It will be a wonderful celebration of his life, with lots and lots of family. Hope your day is filled with blessings too!

Gavin' The Givin' Dragon is ready to give some gifts and blessings to someone! It's Cindy's Challenge Day over at Paper Romance and she has challenged us to use a tag on our cards.  I used a Sizzix tag, and embossed it with one of my Cuttlebug folders.  Gavin' is stamped with Memento Black Tuxedo ink and then colored in with Copics and Spica Glitter pens.

I love this rainbow colored ric rac by Coat's and wanted to incorporate that (and some twisted embroidery thread) in my card.  My designer paper is from The Paper Studio.
