I am introducing TREE KID. My image is colored with Copic Markers and paired with K & Co.'s adorable Sleepy Tree designer paper.
I think he could be Broccoli Kid too - his super hero alter ego! I might have to try that and color him all green (Timbo is surely rolling his eyes at me......). The challenge today at the Hoedown is to use BUTTONS on your project. I paired my dark green button with some grosgrain ribbon, twine, and two stick pins. Clearly not a card for the underage set! I am saving this as one of my cards to send my daughter when she moves 15 hours away in August to go to college.
You can find all of the "New Kids on the Block" HERE.
And now welcome the new Bacon Bits:
Thanks for stopping by today! I have to admit, I made this card before my surgery, and am glad. I am not quite ready to try stamping, even one-handed, yet. Thanks for all the well-wishes. Things are progressing, but the pain level is too great to try anything but watching movies and typing one-handed very slowly!

This is very sweet and the new digi releases are all so adorable! The broccoli kid idea is great for my vegetarian friend :) Glad that you are healing and I hope the pain continues to minimize as you progress. Keep thinking how great it will be once you get through this :)
ReplyDeleteBroccoli kid? I say go for it! (Though he's awfully cute as a tree, the way you've colored him!) Perfect paper to pair him with too. Great card Judy! :)

I love your tree kid card and think you should go for it on your broccoli kid idea, too! Sorry your hand isn't feeling well enough - I was kinda surprised that you thought you'd be able to stamp this soon. I had carpal tunnel surgery and wasn't allowed to drive for weeks, change my toddler's diapers with that hand (Have you ever tried to change a diaper one-handed? I have!) or do much else for that matter! Hope your recovery is a quick one though!!
ReplyDeleteFun card. Great sentiment. Thanks for sharing your art in the Cheerful Stamp Pad challenge.
