A favorite dessert of mine . . .
In a few weeks I will be traveling to Ireland with my daughter and her high school choir. We will be there for 11 days and 9 nights -- I am really looking forward to that adventure! In the meantime, I need to fit into some clothes, so I have joined forces with some friends on SCS and also with Weight Watchers to make more of my wardrobe accessible for that trip!
So, I wanted to post something I have enjoyed in the past for all of you! And maybe by just typing the recipe, I can taste it and it will "melt in my mouth"! I got this fantastic recipe from my friend, Sonja, who played Mrs. Peacock in my February production of "Clue: The Musical." (See below for pictures and info on that show!)
Melt In Your Mouth Dessert
1 C. flour
1/2 C. butter
1/2 C. nuts (optional - definitely optional in this house, as I don't like nuts!)
1 C. powdered sugar
8 oz. cream cheese
1 pkg. instant chocolate pudding
1 pkg. instant vanilla pudding
3 C. milk
Cool Whip
Chocolate shavings
Preheat oven to 350. Mix flour, butter, nuts and pat in a 9 x 13 pan. Cook at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Cool. Mix cream cheese and powdered sugar and 1 C. Cool Whip. Spread on crust. Mix both puddings with 3 C. milk. Layer on cream cheese filling. Layer remaining Cool Whip on top. Garnish with chocolate shavings.
It's DIVINE!

ReplyDeleteForgot to ask - what is "Cool Whip"? Is it whipped cream?
ReplyDeleteWOW! You have a lot to say! I love the giraffes and the feeling of inspiration I get from reading your entries. I hope you enjoy your trip to Ireland...I will have to check back for pics! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteNardi, Cool Whip isn't whipped cream - it's a fluffy topping that you can find in the frozen foods section. Like whipped cream, but not! :)
