Top o' the Morning!
Well, I am back from CHA, and am uploading my photos as I type this! In the meantime, here is a card I made for today's SCS Ways To Use It Challenge: Bottoms Up! We had to have some connection to alcohol on our card, whether Copic markers, alcohol inks, themed stamps, or whatever! I chose to do the Polished Stone technique with reinkers and cotton balls. I know there are several ways to do this technique, but THIS is how I do it. Scroll all the way to the bottom of this page for more color examples.
This beautiful Celtic Cross is from "May God Hold You" which will be released by Our Daily Bread Designs on February 1st. It has two sizes of crosses, two Irish blessings, and a single line sentiment, along with two shamrock vines. It's a beautiful set, and believe it or not, it matches the pattern I have in my ring that I bought when I was in Ireland last May!
I used Mint Melody (retired SU!), Old Olive, and Encore Gold reinkers for my polished stone colors. The gold is so sparkly, but doesn't show up here (it looks more like a darker green in the photo). I sponged the edges of the Always Artichoke paper with Encore Gold, and then embossed with Gold EP (Stampin' Up!). The background paper is from DCWV - Old World MatStack - one of my favorites! I also used Prismatic Metallic Gold for layers. I used the Fiskars ribbon slot punch and threaded my grosgrain moss ribbon in, along with a bit of gold cord.
Be sure to come back later today to see some pictures from CHA!
