Welcome to the Father's Day Blog Hop with the Stampin' Sisterhood from Rubbernecker Stamps!
Today the Sisterhood is showcasing stamps that can be used for Father's Day celebrations. If you arrived here from Joan Ervin's beautiful blog, you are in the right spot! If not, start back at Charlene Driggs's blog, because you will want to see each beautiful creation today, and have a chance at winning a Rubbernecker stamp set of your choice!
My dad passed away 2 1/2 years ago, but this is what I would make for him this year! He loved bright colors. Diabetes took away his ability to walk, and I know he is dancing somewhere :) The sentiment says "And when you get the chance I hope you dance" - perfect, don't you think?
The sentiment is stamped on torn vellum and then embossed, which makes it slightly fuzzy and fat, but I think it works.
I stamped Demetri in VersaFine Onyx Black on my Ink, Spray and Smash technique background and then embossed with Clear EP. I have been on a quest to use something really "old" on every project I make through the summer, and these eyelash fibers and the African bead were perfect for embellishing this card.

ReplyDeleteWow! What a cool image and beautiful sentiment for remembering your papa, Judy. My grandpa lost his legs (and life) to diabetes, too, so I know how hard it had to be for you to witness your father going through all that he did. I like to think my grandpa is dancing in Heaven, too. FABULOUS card, my friend!
