Dainty Doilies

I am the hostess for this week’s Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge. Our challenge is to use doilies in your creation (FTTC234)! I love the sweet look of all sorts of doilies. You can use purchased doilies or a doily die cut. I chose a purchased doily for my design.

I love all of the different flowers from Flourishes’ Old Fashioned Florals. My floral image is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black on watercolor paper, and then embossed with Clear embossing powder. I watercolored using reinkers and a tiny watercolor brush. The sentiment is stamped with Elegant Eggplant ink. I used Spellbinders Oval and Scalloped Oval dies to frame my pretty florals. A little ribbon and twine and a button and pearl center finish it off.

    I am in love with the purple, pink and white colours on your card this week Judy! What a beautiful example on how to use a doily! Love the image you chose and it's wonderfully coloured too! Thanks for a great challenge this week!

    Oooo, this is pretty, Judy! Love your color palette, and that ribbon is gorgeous. I don't think I have that stamp set. Hmmm, I might need to remedy that soon...it's a beauty! Thanks for the fun challenge! :)
