I started by watercoloring a background of greens and yellows using Kuretake watercolors. I stamped my pear image and the sentiment (Stampin' Up! Fresh Fruit) using VersaFine Onyx Black ink, and cut the panel and a frame using Stampin' Up!'s stitched oval dies.
I
added my acetate sheet to the frame, and carefully placed my colored
sequins (Doodlebug) on the pear panel, then added the frame on top.
There is a new challenge at Crazy 4 Challenges and it's all about greens! The Green Apple Plaid Ribbon
from Really Reasonable Ribbon was a perfect match for my watercolored panels, so I wrapped it around
the front of the card, and then added a simply tied, single bow. It has
such a great texture to work with too, and really holds its shape. The
plaid gingham adds such a nice contrast to the fruit designer paper, I
think! The inside has another piece of the designer paper, and another (flat) watercolored oval that says "Happy Birthday." Our challenge ends on Friday, so come play along with your green stuff!

Wonderful card! Love the colors. Thank you for joining us here at Word Art Wednesday. We hope you will link more projects with us soon. Leaving you with the inspiration of the scripture in II Thessalonians 3:3 (KJV) " But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil." God bless!
