Freshly Made Sketches #477

Hello everyone! It's Wednesday and that means a new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches! Jen M is our hostess this week. I just love her style!

I have to admit, the diagonal is always a challenge for me. But once I had decided on using the Spellbinders Large Die of the Month (just the flowers) and that they had to be pink (!), I chose some sweet patterned paper from Doodlebug Design to complete that part.

I added the cute paper ephemera die cut from Echo Park in the center, popped up with foam tape. I die cut the flowers and arranged them on the patterned background as if they were being swayed by the spring breeze. I must have breezes on my mind (last week's card too!), as we have had some very strong WIND (40-50 mph) here lately with a lot of rain. Our grass is already so green - even though two weeks ago it was -46 wind chill!

A few gems and rhinestones in pink and blue finished the card! These flower die cuts remind me of Swedish art. Or maybe I am longing to travel to Sweden again! It was almost two years ago that we were there, but it seems more recent. I just think 2020 was a blur! Here are a few fun photos from Uppsala, Sweden, my favorite place on our Scandinavian trip.

Thanks for stopping by, and for your sweet words of encouragement.

I hope you will join our sketch challenge this week, and add your creations to our gallery! This challenge will end at 3:00 EST time on Monday, March 22. Be sure to stop at the Freshly Made Sketches blog, and click on the names of my teammates to see the lovely cards they have created this week!
