Memories to Keep

Here are a few pictures I took in North Carolina. This first one was out the front window of the car on Sunday morning as we were on our way to church. I loved the foggy mist! This was about 8:00 a.m., and by noon, it was all sunshine again!

And here is my son's cute kitty, "Crayon." She was a doll - although very shy. He has only had her a week! Here is a picture of my son, Steven, and me, after his jazz band concert. He had three solos, one of which was most of the song. It was a real joy to hear him play. He is a junior in college, and we have not heard him play in a group since he graduated from high school! I was so happy to be able to go and hear him, and also meet his friends and church family. It was also really fun to travel to Ft. Bragg and meet Deb! It was a great trip!

As for the Marching Band Competition, my daughter's band won First Place in the Parade Marching and took home the Sweepstakes trophy for best performance of the day!! It was awesome! They played and looked great! Here is a picture of her band waiting to come on the field for their show, and one of her playing her "baby" bass drum. They have 177 members.

Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to come back tomorrow for the Hambo DT Challenge and my weekly House Mouse & Friends project!

Shimmer and Shine

I love shimmery paper. On this card I used three different types. The metallic silver is from The Metallic Stack, available at Our Daily Bread Designs. The patterned background is from a stack by K & Co. that I purchased at my local stamp store, and the card base is a single sheet I bought at Hobby Lobby.

I stamped my sentiment in Black Stazon on a piece of Polished Stone that I had made using Brilliant Blue, Green Galore and Bordering Blue. It is from Footprints in the Sand by Our Daily Bread Designs, as is the fish, stamped in Pacific Point, which is from Flourished Christian Symbols. Both are from new releases. Check them out HERE.
I wrapped the Polished Stone piece with silver thread (it looks like liquid silver), and then added pearls from Stampin' Up!'s Pretties kit. All panels are raised on dimensionals.
Thanks for stopping by today!
