I would rather carry an address book and remember more useful and important information - like how to get to the airport and back without making 2 extra turns.......know what I mean? My husband comes back from England this weekend and I will drive the three hours to pick him up. Hopefully I will remember how to get there the SHORT way. haha
I do remember how to get to the Michael's there......hmmmm.....
In any case, I love that today is 08-08-08. Happy Eights Day!!
Back to school on Monday! My posts here will probably be in the evenings now on days that I work, so if you don't see something new, keep checking back! Next week brings new releases and designs for the companies I am designing for this month: Hambo Stamps and Our Daily Bread Designs.... and next week brings BLOG CANDY!
I am also excited to announce that I will be hostessing the Limited Supplies Challenge at SCS in a rotation with five other great hostesses: dawnmercedes; jeanne s; stagccva; stampinsilvia; and wendybell! My first challenge will be August 29. I hope you all will play along! Dawn had a great challenge today: ATC cards (small cards) that could be used as Lunch Notes!
I made this little card: I made this little ATC card with one of my cute Charlie Horse stamps from Clear Dollar Stamps. I hadn't used Magic Mesh in ages, and thought it looked neat with the fence that I pieced from some Cosmo Cricket paper I had on my "pile." My little lasso is made from Linen Thread. My puppy was so helpful this morning, as she bumped my arm as I was drawing my barbed wire doodle around the sentiment! The frame around Charlie is actually a stamp with the set.I like the reminder of this idea to leave little notes in places you least expect!
Stamps: Clear Dollar Stamps
Paper: Basic Grey Circus Stripe DP, Cosmo Cricket Wanted DP, Mellow Moss, Whisper White, DCWV Textured Brown
Ink: Black Stazon, Chocolate Chip, Creamy Caramel, Blush Blossom, Copic C-1 (which leaked on my horse!)
Accessories: star eyelet, linen thread, circle punches, Bitty Brads by CTMH, Fiskars decorative scissors, Magic Mesh, sponge dauber

ReplyDeleteOh my word, this little horse is ADORABLE!!
ReplyDelete...and congrats on being asked to be one of the LSC hostesses!!!
Charlie is a cutie! I like the mesh on this. And your barbed wire doodle has its own character, right?
ReplyDeleteNow wait a minute, there are a dozen or more "Airport" signs going to Eppley (I'm assuming he's flying into Omaha) and no advance signs going to Michaels. Hmmmm....
ReplyDeleteThat's okay, I can find the Archivers in Omaha quite easily, but not the Scheels which is right next door. ;)
Adorable card.
This is so cute! I LOVE your doodling!
ReplyDeletewhat an adorable card! I love all those little extras you added...you have such a great eye! As for numbers, like 8-8-08, my youngest was due to be born on 8-8-88, but she came a day early!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week : )
