I love it when what you are thinking your card will look like actually makes it to the paper and turns out the same! :)
Today's Featured Stamper at SCS is Julie Ebersole - aka Julie HRR. She is #100 in the Featured Stamper Challenges - and what a perfect choice! I chose THIS CARD of Julie's to case. I wish I had that label Nestabilities - that would have been perfect for the shape of my verse, and more like what Julie had on her card, but I still haven't ordered it yet!
I brayered my Cuttlebug embossed background with Riding Hood Red (I LOVE this color - will have to really stock up!), and then added a lace edging. The wonderful sparkle is from Doodlebug's Lily White Sugar Coated paper -- I got several pieces at Hobby Lobby last week when all the paper was on sale!
A few pearls here and there (Does anyone have a good source for these in bulk? I like the half pearls!) and all done!
This set is a new January release, He is Risen!, by Our Daily Bread designs. See more designs using this set HERE.
I think this is the Perfect valentine!
Dina Kowal {aka Mama Dini} is celebrating her January 1st birthday all week long this week, and has been giving away all sorts of prizes. Tomorrow the prize is from Our Daily Bread designs, so be sure to check out her blog for a chance to win some great stuff!
On another note, for those who have been praying for my hands (I obviously got to stamp the last few days!), THANK YOU! I have had a good week as far as pain goes. I had a nerve test (ever had one of those -- shocks and needles! Fun!) that determined I have moderately severe carpal tunnel and the beginnings of osteo-arthritis in my right hand. So, I go to the hand surgeon on Friday to see what he says about a timeline for surgery. Don't want to miss stamping for 6 weeks, so I will have to learn to do it one-handed! :)
Stop back tomorrow for a fun House Mouse challenge - one I chose!

ReplyDeleteVery pretty card. Love everything about it!
ReplyDeleteYou are so right about Who is the Perfect Valentine!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely card - I've got to master that brayered embossing folder. Yours is stunning, my last attempt almost went in the bin. I like the sort of haberdashery feel from the lace and pearls too.
ReplyDeleteWill be remembering you with your appointment on Friday. Left-handed stamping - I guess it's possible, with determination and perseverance.
Oh dear, I hope your hands get better! Not fun! Your card is beautiful, I have this folder and can't quite seem to figure out what to use it on.....this is lovely! I will be checking out the DB blog! One of my resolutions this year is to get more Bible verse stamps, as SU just is not on the ball in that department! TFS!
ReplyDeleteLeAnne
