For such a seemingly easy sketch, I had a hard time deciding what to do. I think because it's such a great sketch, I had too many ideas. But I finally went with this cute Waffle Lot set from Technique Tuesday. I had not had the chance to ink it up, and I have had it awhile, so it was a good choice!
I
colored the waffle with Copics, and being in a hurry, was squeezing too hard and had dark brown ink blobs in places I didn't want them. So -- rather than starting over, I just made do with a waffle that is darkly cooked! I then cut it out so I could pop it
up on my dry embossed background. The sentiment was cut with a
wonky stitched frame, and also popped up. I added a few hearts to
complete the sketch.
