Hello everyone! It's Wednesday and that means a new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches! The incredibly creative Kim is our hostess this week!
This week I chose the beautiful Big Flower Cover Panel from Reverse Confetti for my card. I started with a blended Distress Oxide background using three different inks: Twisted Citron, Peacock Feathers, and Wilted Violet. I used a spritzed scrap for my stitched circle and little bird out of my unfinished projects box (I don't know whose die this is. Do you?). I added a little black gem for his eye. The sentiment is from My Heart Trusts, also Reverse Confetti, stamped with VersaFine Clair Nocturne.
With the little bird, it reminds me of Matthew 10:30-31 "And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows." A reminder that while I wish I were in control of all my circumstances, that there is someone who is, and in Him my heart trusts. And that's by far better than what I think I could do! Ha!
To keep with the sketch, I added three rows of blue metallic thread from Kreinik.
Thanks for stopping by, and for your sweet words of encouragement.
I hope you will join our sketch challenge this week, and add your creations to our gallery! This challenge will end at 3:00 EDT time on Monday, April 5th. Be sure to stop at the Freshly Made Sketches blog, and click on the names of my teammates to see the lovely cards they have created this week!
