Wishing You the Best

Happy Sunday! Happy July!

Today I am sharing a beautiful birthday/anniversary card using products from Stamp Simply.

The gorgeous Graphic 45 Bird Watcher 8x8 makes gorgeous cards using just the paper! I cut a flower from one of the sheets and popped it up in the corner, adding two sprigs from the Floral Cluster and Sprigs Die set. The sentiment is from the All Occasion Sentiments Set 1. The Venise lace is gorgeous -- be sure to check out the different varieties.

Freshly Made Sketches #543

It's Wednesday and time for a new sketch from Freshly Made Sketches! Cecile is our talented hostess for this week!

I created a little jungle scene using products from several different companies. My background is a smooshed Distress Oxide technique on watercolor paper, using three different DOX inks. My zebra and sentiment are popped up, as are the card layers from the black base. I have two kinds of foliage in the corner, black and lime green. I added three sequins for bling. I took the liberty of making my inner square quite a bit larger to fit the scene and show off the textured embossing folder background layer. I think my grandson will like this for his birthday next month!

I hope you will join our sketch challenge, and add your creations to our gallery! This challenge will end at 3:00 EDT time on Monday, July 11. Be sure to take a peek at the gorgeous cards my teammates have made on the FMS blog to inspire you! There are some beautiful designs there!

The Wind Beneath My Wings

Happy Sunday! Happy July!

Today I am sharing a clean and simple encouragement/thank you card using products from Stamp Simply.

I started by stencil the corners of my white cardstock using a blending brush and Wilted Violet DOX ink. I cut and adhered my large butterfly, using a shimmer white cardstock for the butterfly (he glows!). The sentiment was stamped in VersaFine Clair Nocturne, and cut out using one of the Fishtail dies. I cut the end off to fit better in my design. Finally, I felt I needed a little something else to add interest, and gave my butterfly a mesh tape (drywall tape) background.

Both the butterfly and sentiment are popped up, and the white base is also popped up from the black. I love the striking color combination, don't you?
