Freshly Made Sketches #599

It's Wednesday and that means a new sketch today at Freshly Made Sketches from Jen M!

I love this sketch and had so many ideas (that doesn't usually happen ha!). I went back and forth about flowers and trees, and butterflies and bees, but finally was inspired by a little short trip our family took this past weekend. We grew up in the mountains, but now live in the plains, and that's hard when you become scenery starved! The plains are beautiful in their own way. But we surely miss the clear air, the aspens, and the elevation. We had a little getaway to a cabin in the woods, up about 11000 ft. with no one around but us -- and a doe and her faun. The little spotted faun got spooked and bounced on all fours like a spring through the trees while mom just kept eating grass.

Thankfully it wasn't snowing -- we had low to mid 60's the entire time with some lovely rain, but my card today is showing a winter scene. Products used are listed below.

I hope you will join our sketch challenge this week, and add your creations to our gallery. This week's challenge will end at 3:00 EDT time on Monday, August 21st. Be sure to take a peek at the gorgeous designs my talented teamies have made on the FMS blog to inspire you!

  4. What a peaceful and pretty winter scene you've created. I like how you used the tree as the rectangle portion of the sketch. Glad you were able to enjoy some time in the mountains.

  5. Well, this would have to be the most clever take on the sketch! Your scene card looks fabulous and your mini break sounds so peaceful!
